Sinhagad Fort Family Day Photo Essay

Our family finally made it up to Sinhagad Fort after getting rained out (or flooded out) last time.

The wind was really blowing at the start.

Some people are just naturals when it comes to hiking and trekking.

We found the entrance of the caves that date back 2000 years.

At times soldiers hid in these caves to surprise attackers.

Our guide showed us aspects of Sinhagad that most others would have passed right by.

Work on some buildings at Sinhagad was being done with donkeys taking the load.

We did it! This must have been one of the greatest  victories at Sinhagad since Shivaji defeated the Mughals. What could take away from this moment of triumph?

A flat tire on the way back.

The men worked together to get the tire changed.

Changing that tire was actually fun. The flat tire may have been the best part of the day?
